Pinched Nerve SymptomsThe symptoms of a pinched nerve may vary, depending on the location of the nerve or nerves involved. Some symptoms may appear as a burning sensation, numbness, tingling ("pins and needles"), or pain. In some cases, symptoms may include a combination of these sensations, depending on the extent of the damage and the compression of the nerve. Most people have experienced the symptoms of a pinched nerve when an extremity--for example, a hand, foot, or leg--"falls asleep." In this case, once the pressure is relieved, the feeling returns. To alleviate these symptoms, a change in body position is usually all that is required. In the case of a pinched nerve in the back, however, further measures may be required. Alleviating Pinched Nerve Symptoms At The Bonati Institute, surgeons are specially trained in advanced arthroscopic laser surgery. The procedures are done on an outpatient basis, and recovery time is much shorter than with traditional surgical procedures. In fact, many patients report immediate relief following intervention using The Bonati Procedures. |
